The Voluntas Dei Secular institute is a clerical institute.Its membership is composed of priests and deacons. However, the Institute is open to all baptised people who seek perfection in their Christian life.

At the end of 2016 the Institute had 974 members:

• 1 bishop
• 218 priest
• 8 permanent deacons
• 66 candidates to the priesthood and the diaconate
• 55 single laymen
• 626 persons sacramentally marrieds
